1984 Part II chaper 1

A secret love affair brings about a change in the tone of the story. Winston is the focus of a woman's attention. At first, he reluctant because he thinks that she is like the rest of the people; brainwashed by Big Brother. Winston feels that she is perhaps an enemy of his. This shows that Winston has difficulty trusting people, and is very careful of who he talks to and trusts. "So far as he could see there were two possibilities. One, much the more likely, was that the girl was an agent of the Thought Police, just as he had feared." (pg113) During their encounter, the woman secretly gives Winston a note. Winston thought that the note was about death or terrorism. However, the note read “I LOVE YOU.” (pg 113) This surprised every reader and as well as the protagonist. After reading the note, Winston starts to change his opinion about the woman. The readers begin to to get excited about a possible love affair between the protagonist and the woman. The fact that there is mystery and fear around the meeting of the two adds further excitement. The anticipation continues to grow as the woman and Winston plan to go out together for a couple of hours. They must be careful because if they get caught for being suspicious, they would be sentenced by ‘Big Brother’. The girl secretly plans to meet in a crowed area so that ‘Big Brother’ won't be suspicious of them. The girl yells out “Go to Paddington Station." (pg 121)

The beginning of the chapter two, many will notice the main theme of the story. Winston and the girl talk bakc and forth couple of times. Eventually they fall in love. The excitement that was brought made the readers stunned or rather surprised by note passing.

I liked your views on the love affair between Winston and Julia. Your quotes from the book are also helpful for support
Again you don’t have a intro or conclusion to your blog. Spell check your blog after you are done.

You have some good ideas but they need orginization. You need to have a clear intro, body and conclusion. Although you still had a good use of quotes to support your ideas.
